SIMON PRISTEL

Simon has 30 years experience leading TV, print and social media news coverage. His inside knowledge and expertise in media strategy and public affairs is unique.
As News Director at Seven News Melbourne and Editor of Australia’s biggest selling newspaper the Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun, Simon covered the biggest stories and breaking news in Melbourne.
Simon oversaw the digital integration of the Herald Sun’s newsroom, launching the digital paywall, iPad app and mobile site, creating a dominant digital brand that brought the paper into a new era and showcased it to a two million plus audience.
At Seven News Simon transformed the 30-minute local bulletin into two hours of live daily news bulletins. He cultivated strong relationships with many key stakeholders and worked with them to help strengthen the 7 News brand.
Simon also oversaw the launch of revolutionary newsroom technology and helped build some of the state’s biggest personal brands.
His successful journalistic career included stints at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, the Canberra Press Gallery, Boston Herald and a posting in East Timor.

Lisa is a highly experienced and skilled media and communications specialist with 20 years in commercial television news, current affairs and corporate affairs.
With more than a decade spent in senior positions dealing with the high-pressure demands of daily commercial news, Lisa transferred her skills and knowledge to an executive media role in a Government agency where she honed her skills from the ‘other side’.
As a journalist, chief of staff and senior producer, Lisa crafted award-winning stories and worked on the Black Saturday bushfires, high profile crimes and spent several years producing exclusive content for a daily news bulletin.
